“From the ends of the earth we hear singing, “Glory to the Righteous One”
Isaiah 24:16
Six hundred years before Jesus walked the earth, the prophet Isaiah penned these God-inspired words. It is my firm conviction that Isaiah was speaking of this part of the world. There was simply nothing further from where Isaiah was living. We are truly at the ends of the earth geographically, in relation to Israel. The question was how was this to happen?
Acts 1:8 reveals the answer. Jesus said that the world would be impacted through Holy Spirit empowered witnesses. What was true two thousand years ago, is also true today. Reaching our world, our nation, our community, our family, is still a matter of us being filled to overflowing with the Holy Spirit and a willingness to be a witness. In the words of Peter, we cannot help but speak of the things we have seen and heard. The wonderful message of the Gospel.
That is our vision for New Zealand. Reaching a nation through Holy Spirit empowered believers. Our Foursquare Churches operate to that end with an emphasis on equipping the body of Christ, the church, to impact their world, even if it is just across the street.
